We regret not being able to host an in-person marketplace, but we wanted to connect attendees to some of our IDA vendors that sold at last year’s RE:Conference. Especially in this time, it’s important that we support our local Oregon businesses!

AJMattila Art Studio

Portland, OR

I decided I wanted to be an artist and express myself when I was six years old. My art has always been an integral part of my life, the two cannot be separated. At present I combine not only my creative skills and talents, but I also bring an eclectic spiritual practice and multicultural philosophy to bear witness on my art. Another major element of inspiration is my lifelong love of nature. Currently I create large scale abstract acrylic paintings, smaller scale colored pencil illustrations and I photograph the great outdoors. These images are then scanned and transformed into other products such as postcards, magnets, bags, and decals. For me it is the experiential process, the call of freedom, the sensation of impermanence and change, and the expansive nature of the human consciousness stepping into the unknown that forever moves me forward. I love my studio and I love making art!

Designs by: Chelsea Kelly

Designs by: Chelsea Kelly started out with up-cycling materials and creating fashionable accessories. As the business has grown, I’ve been able to branch out into different areas. Not only do I have my line of up-cycled items, but I also have an organic cotton knit line that is made with new materials. I make bags, scarves, makeup bags, baby blankets, passport wallets and many other accessories. I’m also frequently taking custom orders.

Fodstudios

Bend, OR

Flossieolivedesigns began as a curiosity and a desire to do something meaningful with my surroundings and turn “scrap” into functional art. I have moved through various mediums throughout my life with the mingling of art, nature and function remaining constant.  A few years ago I picked up a hobby pyrography tool at a craft store.  I fell in love with the art form. Burning an image into wood added a different and much needed element to my art.  It felt cleansing and spiritual, old and significant compared to what I had done previously.  Slowly I have cultivated this skill and developed a style that is morphing into more elaborate wood projects and metal.

Honeybee Sparkling Lemonades & Syrups

Portland, OR

Honeybee Lemonade Syrups was originally served to customers with sparkling water from the window of a food cart by Andrea Wade, Honeybee Lemonade Syrups hit the shelves in 2019. From day one, customers found Honeybee Lemonade Syrups to be unique and crave-worthy. It was the popularity and positive feedback during this time that inspired me to bring my syrups to market. Honeybee Lemonade Syrups are all-natural artisan syrups, free from preservatives and artificial sweeteners.

I create, produce and distribute unique flavor profiles that are delicious, creative and fun. They are all natural organic honey lemonade syrups made with whole fruit. There is nothing else on the market like my product. It can be utilized in a variety of ways, from adding them to sparkling water, yogurt, making milkshakes, cocktails, marinades, no proof cocktails, to topping them on desserts, pancakes, waffles, snow cones to whatever your heart desires.

Indigenous Come Up

Portland, OR

We started as social workers and Native foster youth, we are now Indigenous Come Up. We sell Handmade Art, Crafts and Jewelry at local Powwows and other events in the Portland Oregon area.

In 2015 Lluvia was working as a social worker and Chance was one of the youth on Lluvia’s Case load. That year within that program Lluvia and staff started the Foster Care Craft booth where the youth would make crafts and then sell their crafts through the FCC booth at local pow wow’s and other Native specific events.

In 2017 Lluvia stopped working at that job. But Lluvia and Chance never lost contact and continued to talk about finding opportunities to sell their crafts and Jewelry.

We offer handmade original block art prints, handmade hair scrunchies, therapy pillows (small and large fun shaped characters that brighten your day), lanyards and many varieties of earrings. We are always creating and coming up with new products.

Lluvia officially registered Indigenous Come up April 2018.

Young Mountain Tea

Springfield, OR

Young Mountain Tea is a sustainable loose- leaf tea company focused on quality and ethics. It started with a deal — if a Himalayan non-profit would grow tea, we would buy everything they grew. This helps keep the money in the hands of the people who earn it. Since then, we’ve partnered with farmer co-operatives, state governments, and other producers to build the Kumaon tea region. Our collection of rare and responsible teas are sourced for quality and ethics.
